Globomedia creates an international development division to boost new production markets

Laura Fernández Thicko assumes the direction of this new area of the producer whose fictions are present in 125 countries.

The president of Grupo Globomedia, Daniel Écija, has created an international development division within the company to boost the opening of new production markets outside of Spain. Laura Fernández Thicko has assumed the position of director of this area, in direct dependence on the president of the producer.

From this new responsibility, Fernández Thicko will develop the strategies of the Directorate for the collection of business opportunities in the field of international production. Among its objectives is the generation of projects with customers and “partners” from abroad to increase the international presence of Globomedia.

Laura Fernández Thicko will maintain her current responsibility as director of the Globomedia Film Area. The new director of International Development joined the company in 2009 as Marketing Director, contributing 15 years of experience in various multinationals, advertising agencies and film and television producers, in which she has released numerous national and international films.

Globomedia is the leading audiovisual company in Spain for production load, issuance hours, audience successes and sales abroad. Their series headed, for fifteen years, the audience rankings in the main public and private chains in Spain. Similarly, it is a reference in the creation of original content in the field of current humor programs.

Globomedia fictions are present in 125 countries, with special relevance in Europe. Original adaptations and versions of the series that triumph in Spain also do so in chains of Italy, Germany or France.
