Canal+ Sport in France installs a large-format, high-resolution video wall with PowerWall from Orad

The 'Grande Soirée du Samedi' program uses a large video wall whose content is delivered in 8K resolution, ensuring that the film can zoom in on the video wall without the image being pixelated.

France's Canal+ is using Orad's PowerWall solution to create high-resolution graphics for an impressive video wall from which its popular sports space is broadcast. Great Saturday Evening, in which viewers are offered summaries of the most interesting moments of the week regarding sporting events from all over France, as well as the main European leagues.

Thanks to Orad's PowerWall, the most notable content is displayed on the video wall of the Canal+ studio in HD resolution. Luke Pannier, internal production manager for sports at Canal+, has been “very happy with Orad's PowerWall solution, since it takes on its full dimension in Canal+ Sports Broadcasts”.

The easy-to-use PowerWalll system combines live video with graphics, also simultaneously supporting video clips and integration with news and automation systems. At the heart of the PowerWall solution is Orad's new rendering platform, HDVG4.

With full support for 3D DVE animations, the HDVG4 platform manages up to 12 1080i HD SDI signals in real time, facilitating dynamic effects from multiple video boxes. For 1080p HD video walls, content is delivered in 8K resolution, ensuring the broadcaster can zoom in on the video wall without it becoming pixelated. For implementation on Canal+, PowerWall integrates with Orad's 3DPlay system, linking the content of Stat+, Canal+ Sport's central database.
