Flovel raises the sensitivity to capture images below 0.01 lumens
The new high-sensitivity FZ-B1 camera developed by Flovel will be available at For-A sales offices worldwide starting next month.
The Japanese Flovel, a company that works hand in hand with For-A, now has the new FZ-B1 high sensitivity camera. For-A, distributor of Flovel cameras in the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and some regions of Asia, will distribute the new model to its sales offices worldwide starting next month.
The new FZ-B1 is based on a 2/3-inch CMOS sensor and allows recording in 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720/50p and 720p/60p formats. But, without a doubt, the most striking thing is the possibility of working at very low lights of just 0.01 lumens.
The high quality of the HD image combined with the low sensitivity to light makes it an ideal solution for high resolution applications such as night images such as in nature programs or 24-hour reality shows, video surveillance, microscopy, traffic control. To make the camera smaller and less cumbersome, customers can only use the sensor module without the camera housing.
The FZ-B1 works with any C-mount lens and is priced around $30,000.
The FZ-B1 joins an extensive product line that includes the ultra-high-sensitivity EM-120 FLOVEL as the EM-120, a powerful and unique camera with a wide range of wavelength sensitivity from daylight to infrared. With its 1330 (H) x 980 (V) 1080/59.94i HD resolution, the camera has been used for many critical applications, including observing the Fukushima nuclear power plant about 30 kilometers away.
Dedicated to continuous R&D effort, Flovel is currently developing a new 8K camera for research and large screen format applications.
