José Miguel Contreras joins the board of directors of Antena 3
After the merger with LaSexta, Contreras joins Antea's board of directors as a proprietary director representing Imagina.
The former CEO of LaSexta José Miguel Contreras has joined the board of directors of the Antena 3 Group as a representative of Imagina, which controls 6.49 percent of the company after the merger of the Planeta channel with LaSexta.
The incorporation of Imagina to the group's board of directors follows the resolution adopted by the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Antena 3 held on April 25, 2012 and once the condition precedent relating to the effective execution of the merger between Antena 3 and La Sexta has been fulfilled, as reported by the company.
José Miguel Contreras (Madrid, 1958), who will be a proprietary director in the group, is a journalist and professor of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at the Rey Juan Carlos University. He has worked at 'El País', Radio RNE, Radio El País, Canal Plus and Telemadrid.
