Sony's smart television wins in interactivity
Thanks to its alliance with the American company Ensequence, the user of Sony smart TVs will gain interactivity by being able to click on banners, buy products or respond to surveys, among other activities.
Sony has closed an alliance with the American company Ensequence to integrate its platform dedicated to interactive advertising and normal programming, ITV, into all its connected televisions.
This collaboration will offer developers and advertisers an easier way to access participatory viewing, transforming the passive act of watching television into active participation.
Ensequence's ITV technology will allow, for example, the user to click on advertising banners, complete surveys or forms, purchase products or access games and photo galleries, all with the possibility of geotargeting.
The goal is to market these Sony televisions with Ensequence technology in the first quarter of 2013. From that moment on, all Sony Smart TVs will incorporate the possibilities that Ensequence offers. The software will also be available for online update for models sold in 2011 and 2012.
