Shure FP, wireless microphone designed for DSLR

Now, thanks to its FP series, Shure offers a complete, intuitive and economical solution so that recordings with DSLR cameras are accompanied by clean and professional sound.

With intuitive and flexible components, including portable receivers and plug-on XLR transmitters, the new FP wireless series Shure offers the ability to portable capture crystal-clear audio even in the most demanding environments.

Nowadays, many independent reporters or video enthusiasts choose to use a Reflex or DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera to carry out their work since, for a low price, they allow video recordings with good image quality. The main limitation of these models lies in a somewhat limited or even non-existent sound recording quality. Now, thanks to its FP series, Shure offers a complete, intuitive and economical solution so that recordings with DSLR cameras are accompanied by clean and professional sound.

Erik Vaveris, Category Director for Shure Wireless Products, highlighted that "knowing that portability and reliability are essential for independent cameras and producers, we have designed the FP series wireless as a very lightweight and extremely durable product so that our users can count on them even in the most difficult environments. Another advantage of the FP series is that it can be configured very quickly. The user only has to press a button twice...the first time to find an available frequency and the second time to synchronize with the transmitter.”

In addition to featuring Shure's leading audio technologies, the wireless FP series incorporates the patented 'Audio Reference Companding' system. It offers clean, crystal-clear sound, automatic frequency selection to locate and identify available frequencies with a single touch of a button, and automatic transmitter set-up to instantly synchronize it with the receiver's frequency. FP Series components include a very light and portable Diversity receiver with XLR connection, and bodypack, handheld or plug-on transmitters.

All elements of the FP series are powered by two AA batteries, providing maximum mobility, without the difficulties that power by cable can pose. Other notable features are: compatibility with up to 14 systems simultaneously; Diversity reception system; audio output connection with XLR or 3.5mm Jack connection; single or dual transmitter system options; cell phone protection on bodypack transmitters and compatibility with the Shure SLX series.

"Shure has a patented algorithm for its diversity operation, which allows the FP5 to offer extremely reliable performance even though it is a very compact receiver. It offers better signal stability than any other antenna receiver.
