Panasonic will extend its activity to sectors such as automotive, aviation and energy
The president of the company Kazuhiro Tsuga announces at CES 2013 the desire to “extend beyond the living room.”
The president of Panasonic, Kazuhiro Tsuga, highlighted in his opening speech at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which takes place this week in Las Vegas, the company's purpose is to be present in new fields in which people do not usually place the Panasonic brand, such as automotive, aviation and energy.
Tsuga has thus announced the desire to “extend beyond the living room.” Panasonic is focusing its business activities on four major areas: residential, non-residential, personal and mobility.
"We want to add value to customers' lives wherever they are. One way to achieve this is by maximizing the tremendous growth potential in the B2B category, through a new business model that goes far beyond the sale of hardware to offer total solutions that also include software and services," said Tsuga.
Tsuga, who came to office in 2012 with the goal of making Panasonic the greenest consumer electronics company by 2018, defines the company as an eco-engineering company for providing innovative, ecological and intelligent solutions with the ultimate goal of achieving a better world.
