Steve Ellis, new CEO of Broadcast Pix
Before joining Broadcast Pix, Ellis has held different management positions at Telestream, Pinnacle and Vizrt.
Veteran Steve Ellis will join the team from February 11 Broadcast Pix as its new president and CEO. For his part, the co-founder and until now CEO, Ken Swanton, will continue to actively participate in the day-to-day running of the company and on the Board of Directors.
Ellis highlighted that "Broadcast Pix invented the integrated professional video production system and has thousands of satisfied customers around the world. Now we will increase our sales and marketing efforts, as well as build the alliances necessary to take this technology even beyond video professionals."

In 1988, he was named vice president and general manager of Boston Editel, a production company specializing in graphics and branding for television and commercial film. In 1992, he co-founded SNNY and was the top distributor for Pinnacle Systems. In 1999, he was hired by Pinnacle as director of sales for the Americas, and was a key member of the team that led the company's rapid growth and subsequent acquisition by Avid. He then joined Vizrt as vice president of sales for North American operations.
