Intopix bets heavily on JPEG 2000 at ISE 2013
At ISE, Intopix will introduce the Ultra HD family, a new JPEG 2000 encoding/decoding range that supports 4K 60 fps or 8K 60 fps on a single 28 nm FPGA from Xilinx or Altera.
Intopix will show next week at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam 2013 its advanced solutions under the JPEG 2000 standard. Among other novelties, we will be able to learn more details about its JPEG 2000 IP-cores proposal optimized for 28nm FPGAs with capabilities for Altera and Xilinx.
At ISE, it will also exhibit a video over IP application with an Altera Cyclone V GX, the first 28nm development kit on the market, running with Intopix's JPEG 2000 technology with an unnoticed footprint and using the standardized Avalon interface connected to the Altera VIP suite.
At its stand at the RAI we can also check different implementations of the JPEG 2000 codec at very low latency for imperceptible encoding/decoding in terms of quality.
