Cinema Lighting acquires TruColor
The professionals who were key in the development of remote phosphor technologies (Remote Phosphor RP), Chris Varrin and Pierceall Rich, will team up with Trisha Maas.
Cineo Lighting to become Silicon Valley's leading manufacturer of next-generation film and television lighting with the acquisition of the line TruColor a Production Resource Group.
The professionals who were key in the development of Remote Phosphor RP technologies, Chris Varrin and Pierceall Rich, will team up with Trisha Maas, who will lead Cineo's operations in Los Angeles.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue a leadership role in the development of remote phosphor technology for our industry. We now have greater flexibility to explore PR technology applications in film, television and professional photography," said Rich Pierceall, head of sales and marketing at Cineo.
“We are using our experience with TruColor to create more lighting tools that deliver superior color quality,” added Chris Varrin, director of design and engineering at Cineo.
In the coming weeks, TruColor HS and TruColor Foton will go on sale. At NAB 2012, the company will introduce a new 6500K RP panel for the TruColor HS.
