Microsoft's new console, Xbox One, takes another step towards 4K and interactivity with the television

The PS4 rival has a new Kinect, Skype, Blu-ray player and will provide a greater interactive television experience for the user. Steven Spielberg will even produce a series exclusively for console users.

Microsoft announced this week Xbox One, the new generation of its consoles that comes to compete with Sony's PlayStation 4 and Nintendo's Wii U. As the main new features, the evolution of the Xbox 360, launched in 2005, will offer better graphics, an improvement to the Xbox Live online platform and support for Blu-ray.

The price and exact launch date of the console have not yet been revealed by Don Mattrick, president of Microsoft's interactive entertainment division. More details are expected at the E3 video game fair next June in the US.

"The living room has changed dramatically in recent years thanks to the Internet and motion sensors. We can improve the previously complicated and fragmented experience, and design and build a system that meets the new generation of games, television and entertainment. We want something simple, instant and complete," Mattrick said.

The new Xbox One will have an 8-core AMD Jaguar processor, 500 GB of hard drive storage space, 8 GB of RAM, Blu-ray drive, function of three integrated operating systems, WiFi, HDMI... The device promises to offer games with a resolution of 1080p reaching 4K. Resolution is the trump card of the new generation of consoles and is also expected for the Sony PS4.

With Xbox One the television will obey the user's commands. The more you interact with Xbox One, the better the console gets to know you and what you like.
