The audiovisual designer Gonzalo Carrión, director of La Bombilla FX and winner of a Goya, will plan the training program of the different courses and coordinate the efforts of the area's subdepartments.

Starting next year, Gonzalo Carrión, director of The FX Bulb and winner of a Goya, will be in charge of directing the Visual Effects Department of Strokes. Its mission will be to consolidate one of the areas with the longest history of the school, reinforcing its training scheme and promoting the link between professional education and employment. Under his supervision will be the training programs of the Degree in Visual Effects, the Master in Filmmaking, the Master in Motion Graphics, the Master in 3D + Visual Effects, the Master in Postproduction or the Master in Autodesk Smoke, in addition to all those intensive courses and monographs related to the world of VFX.

La Bombilla FX, one of the references in our country in terms of visual effects and digital production. Since it was founded in 2004, the production company has won numerous awards and has worked for the most important advertising agencies in the world, such as McCann, Grey, Tapsa, TBWA, Euro RSCG, Tiempo BBDO or Shackleton. In addition, it has collaborated with clients such as BBVA, Acnur, Canal+, Danone, McDonalds, Mercedes-Benz, Nokia, Orange, Sony, Repsol, Telefónica and Vodafone, among others.

Carrión has a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense of Madrid and specializes in Sculpture. In 1994, he completed a Master's degree in 3D in Silicon Graphics. From that moment on, he began his career as a 3D senior for film and digital advertising, winning a Goya for VFX for his participation in the film “Nobody knows Nobody” and working on other productions such as The Devil's Backbone by Guillermo del Toro.

The incorporation of Carrión to Trazos is accompanied by a double objective: on the one hand, to strengthen the union between education and employment, betting on training that is on par with the needs of the labor market; On the other hand, promote the use of the most innovative software tools, updating the training offer and betting on the software of the future. In addition, Carrión will personally teach the Master in Filmmaking, where he will explain to the students each of the phases involved in an audiovisual production. Finally, Carrión will promote specific measures such as the coordination of a final project, which will allow students to put their knowledge into practice.
