New progressive frame rates allow customers to work in formats such as 1080p 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94. Additionally, it introduces a function to save and restore scenes or mix shapes for use at a later time or in another mixer.

Blackmagic ATEM 3.5

Blackmagic has just released software version 4.1 for its ATEM series of mixers, thus introducing a major improvement that will allow customers to save and restore full or partial mix states, in addition to being able to work with 1080p frame rates 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94 on the ATEM Production Studio 4K model.

The new progressive frame rates allow customers to work in formats such as 1080p 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94, which means that ATEM Production Studio 4K can connect to an even wider range of devices from consumer cameras in HDMI to professional in SDI, routers, servers for media playout...

This new ATEM 4.1 software update also allows all Blackmagic customers to save and restore switching states on any mixer. With a powerful macro like control, save and restore can be used in three ways. Save and restore the entire switching state, save only one piece to restore or load only one piece of an entire saved state. For example, a complex setup can be recalled with chromakey, without affecting the rest of the mix state in a live production.

Now customers can save their mix setups to a laptop, hard drive or USB for use in the next session using any ATEM mixer, anywhere. By being able to store these scenes by folders, with day and time, it is very easy to have several configurations at any time and can go back and forth in time if what you want is to go to a previous scene to restore it.
