JVC and Softmark present the new GY-HM650 in Lima

The presentation was given by Pedro Mess, Sales Manager Latin America of JVC, who spoke about the news, qualities and applications of this camera.

JVC y Softmark presented the event “Handheld Mobile News Camera – HD 2013”, last Thursday, July 18 at the Business Tower Hotel in Lima, with the aim of publicizing the multiple functions that JVC brings to the market with this new model of press camera.

The presentation was given by Pedro Mess, Sales Manager Latin America of JVC, who spoke about the news, qualities and applications of the GY-HM650.

This camera is a new generation of ProHD handheld camcorder, slightly more powerful than the 600 model.

With the exclusive dual codec design, a unique feature that this JVC camera has, as well as an FTP function and Wi-Fi connectivity. The GY-HM650 2.0 enables live streaming or file transfer in the background, while operators continue recording footage in their normal workflow. When the camera is equipped with a Verizon 4G LTE modem, connected directly via USB, the GY-HM650 can transmit images to the production or broadcast center in real time, without the need for external equipment or annoying dongles, and simultaneously record a Full HD file on solid-state memory cards.

Diseñada para la producción móvil de noticias y documentales, la ligera GY-HM650 cuenta con un zoom óptico gran angular 23x Fujinon con enfoque manual, servo zoom y anillos de diafragma, además de tres filtros ND y un parasol desmontable. Esta manejable y ligera cámara graba imágenes HD o SD en varios formatos, desde XDCAM EX nativo (.MP4), Final Cut Pro (.MOV) y AVCHD, así como .MXF compatibles con metadatos descriptivos para la gestión de contenidos audiovisuales. La GY-HM650 también soporta streaming de vídeo en directo a 1080i, 720p y a resoluciones menores para su difusión web adaptándose a las condiciones de la red. La función de trimming incorporada reduce el tamaño de los ficheros para una transferencia más eficiente.
