JVC GY-HM650 now ready for 3G/4G and WLAN contributions in Europe
JVC Professional prepares a simple guide that allows you to immediately verify the 3G/4G and WLAN compatibility for your camera.
One of the peculiarities of the new GY-HM650 camera from JVC, in version 2.0, is the feature of FTP and Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows live streaming or file transfer in the background, while operators continue recording sequences in their normal workflow.
At NAB 2013, the system was demonstrated by equipping the camera with a Verizon 4G LTE modem connected directly via USB. The system transmitted images to the production or broadcast center in real time without the need for external equipment, and simultaneously recorded a Full HD file on solid-state memory cards.
Now it's Europe's turn and JVC Professional has prepared an easy guide that allows you to immediately verify the 3G/4G and WLAN compatibility for your camera. The guide consists of a Support Map that shows the 3G and 4G adapters and network types already operational in five European countries. Likewise, information is provided on 6 other countries where operational tests have already begun.
GY-HM650 camera operators should check the availability of their local operator by accessing the Status menu and selecting the Network item. In order to help users connect via Wi-Fi or via Ethernet cable, JVC has compiled a list of all the wireless dongles y wired adapters compatible since not all of them allow operating with all the functionalities.
