Noa Audio closes an alliance with Quantum to integrate its products with Mediarc

Noa Audio Solutions has closed an agreement with Quantum to integrate its wide range of storage products with Mediarc archiving solutions.
To store large amounts of lossless compressed video data with multiple copies across multiple sites, Noa now integrates Quantum systems into a tiered storage management infrastructure that can meet the demands of any archive-to-broadcast archive operation. Depending on the size of the project, for storage installations, Mediarc can be configured with StorNext systems with their metadata, StorNext AEL tape archive libraries, and Quantum StorNext Q-series storage systems.
Christophe Kummer, president of Noa Audio Solutions, maintains that "high storage density is an advantage for Noa customers, as is the variety of storage solutions available from Quantum. Versatility always means that we can accommodate the most advanced and elaborate archiving infrastructures within a streamlined Medisarc workflow."
The Mediarc system is a flexible framework for media storage management that makes the entire process easier and more efficient for broadcasters with files of all sizes. Mediarc's modular structure is scalable to adapt to any level of performance and security. Mediarc has offered structured and flexible content management for decades, with a series of powerful tools that can efficiently digest petabytes of information.
Mediarc can handle complex structures necessary for the proper description and effective use of archival content, linking media data to metadata and storage with support for the implementation of FRBR (Functional Requirements of Bibliographic Records). A powerful and exceptionally fast search engine, capable of combining structured and full-text search capabilities, allows easy access to information through a graphical user interface. Mediarc is designed to meet the needs in three fundamental areas: metadata (description of media content), media storage, and conversion and workflows (control, processing...).
