JVC closes a strategic alliance with Streamstar for streaming video distribution
The new agreement allows JVC to complete its streaming production and broadcast solutions, from ProHD cameras to live HD content delivery.
JVC Professional y Streamstar, a leading Slovak company in the streaming systems market, have announced a strategic alliance that includes JVC Professional and its European subsidiaries will distribute the full range of Streamstar professional streaming solutions, including Webcast Case, Webcast Touch Pro, Webcast Prodigy, as well as Streamstar cloud services.
The sale of Streamstar solutions through the JVC Professional distribution network throughout Europe will allow users of JVC streaming camera systems to complete the production and broadcast chain with this brand's streaming solutions.
Streamstar products are compatible with the new range of JVC cameras GY-HM650E, GY-HM850E, GY-HM850CHE, GY-HM890E and GY-HM890CHE, in addition to the new 4K models GY-HM200E and GY-HMLS300CHE, available this March.
Rado Toth, CEO of Streamstar, believes that "this alliance provides professionals in this market with an affordable and convenient way to have end-to-end workflows, which integrate high-quality, agile and easy-to-use production and broadcast equipment and systems. And to make this streaming production and broadcast process even easier for the producer and the technical camera team, we are already working on new software developments that will include various camera control functions in our streaming products."
For his part, Gustav Emrich, Product Manager of JVC Professional for Europe, maintains that “with the new distribution of the Streamstar range of streaming systems, we will provide our customers with the ability to combine acquisition with content distribution, and ultimately, the rationalization of the workflow necessary to cover live events to respond to the increasingly demanding requirements of delivering high-quality content anytime, anywhere.”
The alliance between Streamstar and JVC Professional began to take shape in August 2014, with the launch of the GY-HM650/850/890 camera package, which included the free Streamstar Webcast LiTE iP software and 150 hours of free streaming with the Streamstar Cloud service.
