Overon

Abertis has completed the sale to the Imagina group of exclusive control of Overon (a company over which both partners had joint control based on their stakes in the capital of 51% by Abertis and 49% by the Imagina Group).

Once authorized by the CNMC, the operation has been implemented through the initial sale of 26% of Overon's capital for a price of 24 million euros and the signing of a new shareholders' agreement that includes the purchase option by the Imagina Group and the sale option by abertis on the remaining 25% of Overon's capital.

Currently, Overon has specialized in the video and data transmission service from any place in the world where news or television content is generated to any place in the world where it will be broadcast. Its technical and human teams provide their services to all channels in the world from the places where news interest occurs: tsunami in Southeast Asia, Arab Spring, wars in Libya and Syria, earthquakes in Brazil, election of the new Pope, the typhoon in the Philippines or the events on the occasion of the death of Nelson Mandela. But also elections, sports competitions and other events with international projection.

The company has teleports in Madrid and Miami, one of the largest DSNG fleets in Europe (50 DSNG) and access to an extensive land network with connectivity to the main operators in the sector and control centers.

In 2012, it closed with a turnover of 66 million euros, generating 41% of its income outside Spain and with permanent centers in the United States, Belgium and Bulgaria.
