Next February 9 The great Spanish family, by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo will fight to win twelve Goya Awards; The witches of Zugarramurdi, by Álex de la Iglesia, has ten options; and Cannibal, by Manuel Martín Cuenca, will compete for eight awards. The list of the films with the most options for Goya Awards is completed 15 years and one day, by Gracia Querejeta, and 3 more weddings, by Javier Ruiz Caldera, with seven nominations; and Living is easy with your eyes closed, by David Trueba, and The wound, by Fernando Franco, with six.

The directors of the five films, except Fernando Franco who is competing for Best New Director, will be able to win the Goya for Best Director.

Tito Valverde, by 15 years and one day; Antonio de la Torre, for Cannibal; Eduard Fernández, by all women; and Javier Cámara, for Living is easy with your eyes closed, will be the best leading performer of 2013; while Inma Cuesta, for 3 more weddings; Marian Álvarez, by The wound; Aura Garrido, by Stockholm; and Nora Navas, for We all want the best for her, will compete for the Goya for Best Leading Actress.

Accompanied by the president of the institution, Enrique González Macho, and the notary Eva Sanz, Quim Gutiérrez, Goya for Best New Actor for AzulOscuroCasiNegro, and Clara Lago have announced this Tuesday morning the names of the candidates for the 28 categories that make up the Goya of this call, to which is added the Goya of Honor that Jaime de Armiñán will receive.

In its 2014 edition, 135 films were presented, of which 77 are fiction, 53 are documentaries and 5 are animation. There are also 10 Ibero-American films, 103 European feature films and 35 short films.
