Harmonic has appointed Everth Flores as new senior director of global accounts and business development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In his new role, Everth will drive new business opportunities in the region with special emphasis on the deployment of the NSG Pro convergence platform.

Ian Graham, vice president of EMEA sales, highlighted that "Everth has a broad perspective on the industry and its players, which will be invaluable in expanding Harmonic's sales in key accounts. With channels being a key part of our growth initiative for 2014 and beyond, Everth will also focus on delivering significant results in this area. Drawing on its knowledge of the region, industry technologies and customer relationships, we are confident that Everth will contribute to our sales efforts. all over the world.”

Everth is a seasoned executive with nearly twenty years of experience serving cable, telecommunications, digital media and OTT service providers in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His experience has given him a broad perspective on industry developments and the impact it has on a service provider's customer base.

Prior to joining Harmonic, he was general manager and senior director of video operations at Cisco EMEA. He also held business development and sales positions at Scientific Atlanta, Trilogy Communications, and Cable Link, where he was instrumental in successfully establishing channel structures and increasing sales revenue.

Everth, who will be based in Belgium and will report directly to Ian Graham, has a master's degree in International Business Administration from Otterbein College and a Mini-MBA from Emory University.
