With this acquisition, Dalet expands its product offering that revolves around an open-centric IT technology, strengthening the company's dominance in MAM management and media workflows by creating end-to-end solutions that include complete MAM capabilities, along with state-of-the-art image processing, transcoding and media distribution.

"This acquisition allows us to offer the industry the most advanced level of workflow options. Amberfin has been at the forefront of mastering media, including transcoding and video quality control. The company has pioneered many industry standards such as MXF and AS-02. This directly complements Dalet's strengths. By merging our resources and technologies, we can enrich both Dalet and AmberFin products to offer the most complete solutions for content providers," explains David Lasry, CEO of Dalet.

Amberfin is based in Basingstoke, UK and Dalet will continue to develop and support the AmberFin product line from that location. Jeremy Deaner is leaving his role as CEO of Amberfin but will continue as a consultant to facilitate the transition.

Both Dalet and AmbetFin have attended NAB 2014 to show their products. At AmberFin's booth SU8505, visitors can see its workflow solutions for broadcasters, sports organizations, post-production firms and multimedia content companies. Scalable, agile and efficient, Amberfin iCR (intelligent Content Re-Purposing) offers an innovative tool for the demands of cross-platform delivery, allowing the industry to address high volumes, with slim-file technology.

The ICR platform introduces a quality assurance mark that brings a new level of trust to media assets. It combines automated processes, which integrate third-party verification tools, with the intervention of manual processes, allowing for more efficient and effective decision-making.
