On the occasion of the Champions League final, TVE will broadcast 18 hours from Lisbon with news content and programs from La 1, Canal 24 Horas, Teledeporte, Radio Nacional and RTVE.es

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL LISBONSpanish Television will broadcast 18 hours through its different channels (La 1, Canal 24 Horas, Teledeporte) until Sunday on the occasion of the historic Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid on May 24. For this, an operation made up of 75 people (Informative Services, Sports, Media, RTVE.es and España Directo) has been set up. For its part, RNE will send a team of 21 people to Lisbon, in charge of special programming that will include the broadcast of 15 hours live from the Portuguese capital next Saturday.

A total of 75 TVE professionals will travel to Lisbon to cover the 18 hours of broadcast scheduled on the different Spanish Television channels in news, programs and sports from this Thursday to Sunday. The coverage started this Thursday the 22nd with information from both the Madrid Territorial, TD1 and TD2, whose Sports block was carried out from Lisbon with Jesús Álvarez in the stadium where the final will be played.

On Friday the 23rd, the day before the meeting, there will be 6 hours of broadcast. The news programs – TD Matinal, Los Desayunos, Canal 24 Horas and Informativo territorial de Madrid – will connect live with Lisbon and both TD1 and TD2 will broadcast their sports blocks from Da Luz, with Jesús Álvarez, and will make connections with the concentration hotels, fans' tents and Praça do Comércio. Oriol Nolis will present TD2 from the central Lisbon square. 'España Directo' will offer all the latest news from a set outside the stadium with Marta Solano.

On Saturday the 24th, the day of the grand final, there will be 8 hours of broadcast on the different channels. Canal 24 Horas will broadcast live throughout the day from the Portuguese capital. TD1 will open from Praça do Comércio with Oriol Nolis and will connect with the fan zones and concentration hotels. The sports block, presented by María Escario, will take place from the Estadio da Luz. Starting at 6:00 p.m., 7 uninterrupted hours live: the best preview of the final in the special 'Desafío Lisboa', on La 1, with Jesús Álvarez at the helm. The program will include an analysis presented by Lourdes García Campos and Julián Reyes, in which former soccer players Rafael Martín Vázquez and Abel Resino will participate.

At 8:45 p.m., on La 1, the grand final with narration by Juan Carlos Rivero and comments by Manuel Sanchís, former Madrid player, and José Antonio García Calvo, former Atlético player. The interviews will come from Álex Rodríguez, Silvia Barba, María Escario and Fe López.

After the final, La 1 will broadcast a post-match special with the reactions of the protagonists and live connections from Cibeles or Neptuno. Canal 24 Horas will offer live the arrival of the winning team to these venues if it occurs in the same morning as the final. Finally, on Sunday the 25th there will be another 3 hours of broadcast between La 1 and Teledeporte. La 1 plans to broadcast a Champions special at 8:10 p.m. and until TD-2. At 10:15 p.m., after the news, it will continue until 11:00 p.m. Real Madrid's celebration in case of victory is planned by the club on Sunday and Atlético de Madrid's on Monday. That same day, 'Spain direct' will offer a special program until 9:00 p.m. to mark the celebrations.

It is also planned that the displaced News team will prepare an extensive report for Weekly Report. For its part, RTVE.es will broadcast a multi-signal Champions League final live and open for the first time, with up to five simultaneous signals (La 1, short shot, 'Spider' aerial camera and two for monitoring the technicians). This experience will allow the user to 'make' their own broadcast of the match of the year. In addition, the best moments of the meeting can be captured through the +TVE application.

The deployment of Spanish Television, in line with a historic final like the one that will take place in Lisbon, will be made up of 75 people: Information Services (29), RTVE.es (1), Media (29), Sports (13) and Spain Direct (3). TVE will use 50% fewer staff in this final compared to the Copa del Rey final in Valencia (160 people). On that occasion, TVE produced the international signal of the match, in addition to the personalized signal for Spain and a personalized signal for Catalonia. 9 hours were broadcast and in London 2011 about 12 hours. 18 are scheduled for the final in Lisbon.

RNE

The special deployment of Radio Nacional, made up of 21 people including editors/presenters/narrators, both for sports, programs and technicians, will be carried out from Studio 10, the station's best-equipped mobile unit, which will be located next to the Spanish embassy in Lisbon. From there, the public broadcaster will carry out on Friday Sports Radio Gazette (8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.), with Chema Abad, to tell all the previous information.

On Saturday the 24th, the station will offer a special 15-hour program from Lisbon from 9 in the morning until 12 at night. At 9 a.m. a special program presented by Alfredo Menéndez and Pepa Fernández will start. This special will seek to experience how fans experience the match, connect with points of interest, include interviews, speak with the mayor of Lisbon to find out how the capital experiences the final and live performances.

At 6:30 p.m., sports board will pick up the baton and immerse himself fully in the current events of the meeting and its protagonists. José Luis Toral directs and presents the special that will include the most complete preview, the narration of the match, the passion of the fans of both teams, the reactions, the celebrations...
