Voz Audiovisual begins recording 'El final del camino', the new fiction for RTVE

Directed by Miguel Alcantud, it narrates the experiences of three brothers in a turbulent Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula, against the background of the Camino de Santiago and the construction of the Compostela Cathedral.

The end of the road, the new RTVE fiction, has already begun filming. A story about the experiences of three brothers and their relationship with historical figures, with the construction of the Santiago cathedral as a general framework. The eight episodes of the first season are recorded in natural and historical locations in Galicia.

In the series, three brothers will live the adventures and misadventures of a turbulent Middle Ages like few others in the Iberian Peninsula: fratricidal fights between Christian kings, who at the same time battled against the Almoravid invasion... Three anonymous (or not so anonymous) heroes who coexisted with the excessive ambition of many historical figures, their love affairs, betrayals, passions and follies... Alfonso VI, Constanza de Borgoña, Urraca o Diego Gelmírez, bishop and dominee of Compostela. A time in which the Camino de Santiago and the construction of the cathedral become the starting point of today's Europe.
Antonio Velázquez (Gonzalo), Javier Rey (Pedro) and Guillermo Barrientos (Esteban) play the three main brothers. In the cast, actors such as Asier Etxeandía (Alfonso VI), Cristina Castaño (Constanza de Borgoña), Begoña Maestre (Elvira), Juan Fernandez (Peláez), Ismael Martínez (Animal), Manuel de Blas (Efraim), Jaime Olías (Gelmírez), Patricia Peñalver (Urraca) and many more who will give life to the historical and fictional characters around which the story is built.

The eight episodes of this first season are recorded in natural and historical locations in Galicia. There the houses and walls of Compostela, the cathedral of Santiago, the basilica of Alfonso III, the palace of Diego Peláez, the pazo of Andrade, the mountains and roads of Compostela, the streets of Toledo, the palace of King Alfonso VI or the castle of Luna will be recreated.
