This morning, networks from all over the world broadcast live images of the proclamation of Felipe VI as the new King of Spain.

Some European public broadcasters, such as the BBC, began their special programming in the Zarzuela Palace when Juan Carlos de Borbón imposed on Felipe VI the sash that recognizes him as captain general of the three Armies. Other televisions in this country also showed the departure of the new King of Spain from the Zarzuela Palace accompanied by his wife, Queen Letizia, and the arrival of the new kings to Congress.

The French BFMTV, iTélé” and LCI or the Italian RAI and SkyTG24 are other channels that have connected with Madrid.

The American CNN has as its featured news the coronation of Felipe VI with continuous notes that update the events taking place in Spain. The main Chinese media also echoed Felipe VI's proclamation today, reproducing the information provided by the official Xinhua agency.

This historic day has also been closely followed in Arab countries. The Qatari Al Jazeera has made numerous connections with the capital of Spain.

In Spain, both the public TVE and the private Antena 3 and Telecinco have broadcast special programming.

Matías Prats and Susanna Griso have hosted a News Special on Antena 3, in which all the news faces of the network have participated in the coverage of this historic event. Live, from the Congress of Deputies, Vicente Vallés, Lourdes Maldonado and María Rey have provided timely information on all the events.

Mediaset, for its part, has carried out an extensive display of more than six hours live on Telecinco. Ana Rosa Quintana has been in charge of presenting a special program that has included the participation of Pedro Piqueras and Jesús Cintora, along with a large team of collaborators and guests. This coverage has also been reinforced by the information services, which have installed two sets, one near the Congress of Deputies and another in the Royal Palace.

From public television, Televisión Española has carried out extensive deployment and special programming. TVE has been in charge of offering the institutional signal to the entire planet with more than 40 cameras in the Zarzuela Palace, outside the Congress (since Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales has been in charge of the interior, a company that usually offers the institutional signal from the chamber), in the car tour of the new Kings through the center of Madrid to the Plaza de Oriente and in the Royal Palace, where they greeted from the central balcony.
