Digital Rapids solutions will be marketed under the name SelenioFlex

Transcode Manager 2, StreamZ Live 4000EX, StreamZHD and the Kayak platform will continue to be available to the market under the new brands SelenioFlex and Xenio.

Following the purchase of Digital Rapids by Imagine Communications Last April, everyone was wondering what was going to happen with these solutions designed for the distribution of multi-device content with higher levels of efficiency, agility and profitability.

We already have an answer to this question and that is that Imagine will continue with the development of these solutions under the name SelenioFlex. Transcode Manager 2, StreamZ Live 4000EX, StreamZHD and the Kayak platform will continue to be available to the market under the new brands SelenioFlex and Xenio.

Kayak's technology platform thus becomes a central element of the Xenio workflow manager, an agile software engine that allows broadcasters and service providers to design, implement and manage extensible and customizable software-defined workflows.

Transcode Manager 2 is now available as SelenioFlex Archive, combining intelligent automation, exceptional scalability and workflow agility to optimize operations and reduce operational costs. The former Kayak transcoding engine packages are converted to the SelenioFlex transcoding engine, powered by Xenio.

The StreamZ Live 4000EX encoder for multi-screen distribution will now be introduced to the market as SelenioFlex Live. It combines high quality, robust reliability, easy upgradeability and rich adaptive streaming with support for multi-screen live event streaming and over-the-top applications. The Broadcast Manager multi-encoding management software has also been renamed and will now be known as the SelenioFlex Live Manager option.

Finally, StreamZHD ingest encoders will now be called SelenioFlex Ingest, offering efficient multi-format capture and encoding from live or tape sources. The combination of superior quality and great format flexibility will allow SelenioFlex to provide an ideal ingest gateway for production and archiving workflows as well as a wide range of multi-screen distribution opportunities.
