Francisco Díaz Ujados assumes the direction of Content and Antenna; Ignacio Gómez-Acebo, Strategic Programming and Production Planning; and Jaime Garrido, the Broadcast Image.

The Board of Directors of RTVE has approved the new structure of Spanish Television, which includes the unification of the Content and Antenna areas into a single direction, which will be directed by Francisco Díaz Ujados. Ignacio Gómez-Acebo will be the director of Strategic Planning of Programming and Production at TVE and Jaime Garrido will assume the new direction of Broadcast Image. Yolanda García Cuevas is in charge of the Sports Directorate.

Díaz Ujados is responsible for the new Content and Antenna Department of TVE, an area that unifies the Content and Antenna Departments that existed to date and were directed by Montse Abbad and José Manuel Eleta, respectively.

Abbad begins a new professional stage after seven years at TVE, where she has held different responsibilities that began with the management of the San Cugat production center, as head after La 2 and later as Content Director in Ignacio Corrales' team. Eleta, for his part, began his relationship with TVE in 2008 as Marketing Director, then as Director of Audience Research and, for three years, as Antenna Director.

Both powers are now unified in the new TVE Content and Antenna Directorate, which Francisco Díaz Ujados is in charge of. Graduated in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, Díaz Ujados is a professional in the audiovisual sector with extensive experience and knowledge both in the area of ​​business management and in content creation and team management in the field of national television.

He began his professional career in Spanish Television, performing different functions in the areas of program making and production. He has been head of production and director in the launch of Telemadrid; director of Entertainment Programs and director at Videomedia and director and director of programs at Antena 3TV. In 1998 he assumed the direction of Entertainment Programs at Antena 3TV and later in 2003 he was appointed director of Programs, Fiction and Spanish Cinema on the same network. Since 2006 he has been executive producer of Globomedia.

For his part, Ignacio Gómez-Acebo was born in Santander (1962), is a television producer and has developed practically his entire professional career at RTVE, where he began to collaborate in 1981. In his early years he developed his activity in the TVE Program Area and in 1993 he became part of the Sports Area. He has participated in the production of nine Summer and Winter Olympic Games, World and European Championships in Football, Athletics, Basketball, Handball, Swimming, Futsal, etc. He was also part of the production teams for the UEFA Champions League and directed the production teams for the World Athletics Championships in Seville 1999 and the America's Cup in Valencia 2007.

He held the responsibilities of director of Sports Executive Production (2008-2009) and director of Sports (2009-2012). In 2013 he assumed the duties of Communication Director of the Madrid2020 Bid.

Licenciado en Ciencias de la Información por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y titulado en la especialidad de realización por el Instituto de Radiotelevisión, el nuevo director de Imagen de Emisión, Jaime Garrido, ha realizado toda su carrera profesional en Televisión Española. Ingresó por oposición en 1984. Regidor en musicales y dramáticos, ayudante en informativos y deportes, realizador desde 1991 y director de Producción de Deportes en 2010, ha obtenido por su trabajo diversos reconocimientos nacionales e internacionales. Entre ellos destaca la Copa Stadium, el premio Sportel y el premio Ondas otorgado a TVE por los Mundiales de Atletismo de Sevilla en 1999 o el IOC Honours Broadcaster en su categoría de plata por la realización de la señal internacional del Canoing & Kayak, Slalom durante los Juegos de Londres en 2012.

Yolanda García Cuevas will be, for her part, the new Sports Director of TVE. Graduated in Information Sciences, Visual and Auditory Image Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, she began her professional career at RTVE in 1995 as a production assistant on various programs. Between 1999 and 2003 he was Coordination Assistant in the Sports Directorate for the Seville 99 World Athletics Championships, Euro 2000, Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, and UEFA Champions League.

After a period as coordinator of International Relations at VAV Compañía de Producciones, she was coordinator of the Production of the EBU members in the Sports Operations Group between 2005 and 2008, highlighting her participation in the Turin 2006 Olympic Games, Beijing 2008 and the Rio 2007 Pan American Games, in addition to collaborations in the Osaka 2007 World Athletics Championships and the Melbourne Swimming World Championships. 2007. From January 2009 to 2010 she was executive producer of Eurovision and International Affairs in the Sports Directorate of RTVE. From that date until today, she has served as deputy director of Rights Acquisitions and Eurovision in the Sports area.

For his part, Jesús Álvarez, to date Sports Director, will combine his work as a sports presenter on TD-2 with the coordination of major sporting events on TVE.

Jesús Álvarez has been a Sports presenter for the News News since 1979. Since then he has not stopped belonging to the sports area of ​​TVE, developing his work either in the SSII or in Programs and broadcasts, where he has covered the major world sporting events. Since November 2012 he was Sports Director.
