More safety, performance and reliability with the new Anton Bauer batteries
Its innovative design features a “double membrane” architecture in which the cells are individually contained in a shock- and fire-resistant plastic ‘honeycomb’.
Anton/Bauer will showcase at IBC 2014 its new series of V-Mount digital batteries designed specifically to power digital productions and deliver a new level of security. Its innovative design features a “double membrane” architecture in which the cells are individually contained in a shock- and fire-resistant plastic ‘honeycomb’, with a 2mm air space between them, ensuring that no cells touch and that air can circulate between them to keep the battery pack at a low temperature.
This battery pack is “suspended” within the modern outer case, retaining a 5mm air gap around it to prevent crushing and penetration of any sharp objects into the cells themselves. Another of its safety features is found in the thermal sensors that continuously monitor the battery and, if an increase in temperature is detected, activate a switch that prevents additional charging or discharging. Similarly, the charge and discharge flows are continuously monitored and, if the flow is too much, the battery shuts down.
The new series of batteries, also available with Gold Mount connectors, meet particular needs when setting parameters in 4K cameras and other digital cameras in use today, while offering superior levels of security, performance and reliability. With the introduction of the V-Mount option in the Digital Battery series, Anton/Bauer's best batteries will now be available for use with any camera, accessory, light source, monitor or recorders, among other equipment, and in three sizes: 90 Wh, 150 Wh and 190 Wh.
