Third edition of the International Timelapse Showfest Festival

On November 16, the Yelmo Islazul cinemas in Madrid will host this festival dedicated to the timelapse photography technique.

Next Sunday, November 16, at 11 in the morning, the third edition of the International Timelapse Showfest will take place. The festival, organized by Timelapses.es will bring together the best audiovisual works made with timelapse techniques.

Timelapse has undergone a great revolution in recent years. The great technological advance has given rise to any amateur with a camera to access a world previously inaccessible and reserved only for experienced photographers. This has facilitated the creation of beautiful audiovisual pieces that can essentially be enjoyed on the Internet... Until now.

And only the magic of cinema can enhance these videos. Timelapses.es has brought together 18 montages, some of them surprising, thus forming a puzzle where you can appreciate from end to end how the timelapse technique fits into many facets. During the 90 minutes of the Timelapse Showfest everything will revolve around this technique.

Además, este año el festival contará con varias piezas en formato HFR (High Frame Rate). Además casi de la mitad de los cortos que se exhibirán son de estreno exclusivo o con tomas nuevas para esta edición.

En esta edición se proyectarán trabajos de Dominic Fillon, Andrei Allerborn, LoveTheFrame, Filippo Rivertti, Nathan Kaso, Rob Withworth, Geoff Tompkinson, Alejandro Iborra, Liya Zhou, Tommaso Maiocchi, Diego Bonacina, Kirill Neiezhmakov, David de los Santos Gil, Jose Alonso Leon, Dario Calí y Jordi de Temple.

A professional jury made up of Pepe Jordana, Pol Turrents, Nacho Benítez, Fran Muradas and Pablo Valdivieso, will choose the three winning productions. The awards ceremony will be broadcast for the first time on the Internet and live via streaming, with the first prize being 1,000 euros in cash.
