Cornucopia Films trusts Mistika de Sgo for finishing and grading in 4K

Szu-Yi Chu, one of the Chinese colorists with the greatest international reputation, adopts the system for its intuitive interface and multiple possibilities.

Chinese post-production company Cornucopia Film has invested in the Mistika 4K finishing and grading system Sgo to offer high-level post-production services to its clients. It is the first post-production company to opt for a Mistika system in Shenzhen, and is one of the new Chinese creative companies offering excellence in editing, CG/VFX production, grading and digital intermediation services for feature film projects.

Si-Yi Chu highlights that "I joined Cornucopia Films at the beginning of this year, and invited a team from Taiwan to build a digital intermediation platform from scratch. The staging solution was the most important priority for me, and to everyone's surprise, I chose a system that no one in the company is yet familiar with. Since we were starting from scratch, my position is that we could also take advantage of the opportunity and choose the best that the market had to offer... and that is Mistika. I feel that the investment in Sgo’s intuitive Mistika technology gives us an advantage and an opportunity to offer a unique service to our customers. It was worth taking the time to master it. I told my team that we have to be visionary, and not conservative in trying something else that is not only new, but also the best.”

Si-Yi Chu tuvo su primera toma de contacto con Mistika en una sesión de formación con el colorista y supervisor de DI. “Todos mis peticiones sobre etalonaje en Mistika eran realistas y factibles, a través de una combinación de diferentes métodos y el uso de las herramientas avanzadas que los coloristas deseamos. Más tarde me dieron acceso a probar el Mistika con la ayuda de David. Después de usarlo durante varias semanas, llegué a conocer todas las posibilidades de Mistika. ¡Es realmente una pasada!”, reconoce el colorista chino.
