Sony will collect the lives of the participants in the reality show 'Utopia'
Sony digital audio technology and robotic cameras will be used for the recording of a new program on TV8 (Türkiye).
Utopia (Utopya), the new TV show that everyone is talking about, is ready to make its appearance on Turkish television very soon and has been recorded with the technology of Sony.
Acun Medya opted for Sony products to record the program for TV8; It is planned to be seen both on television and on the Internet.
The program, originally developed in Holland, follows the lives of 15 contestants who are filmed while living in a remote uninhabited place where they have to create a community from scratch. The contest lasts 10 months, during which the recording and production team also live in the remote location, using Sony technology to offer an excellent visual and acoustic experience.
Sony commercial manager Koray Köymen acknowledges that “we have been very fortunate to work with Acun Medya on many projects before, including Survivor. We have continued with this collaboration during the project Utopia, in which we have the opportunity to use the latest in remote robotic camera and digital audio technology. We would like to thank Acun Medya for this opportunity and look forward to working more with their team in the future. “We will continue to collaborate to offer the best possible experience to Turkish viewers with the help of the latest Sony technology.”
Flexible usage options
Sony products used for Utopia filming include the BRC-Z330 and BRC-Z700 robotic cameras that deliver excellent HD images, even in low-light conditions, and the EVI-H100S robotic cameras for nighttime recording. Sony's all-digital DWX series of wireless microphones deliver unparalleled high-quality audio with full remote control of the transmitters via Sony's exclusive Cross Remote feature.
The BRC-Z330 and BRC-Z700 robotic cameras can be mounted on ceilings or any other flat surface, and their wide-angle pan/tilt/zoom performance offers excellent performance in a wide variety of remote recording applications. The autofocus optical zoom lens allows users to record small or distant objects. Additionally, the cameras are designed to meet the demand for Full HD images. The BRC-Z330 also has the privilege of being the smallest camera in its commercial sector, ensuring discreet recording. The HD-SDI video output and high-precision Exmor CMOS image sensor are why the Sony EVI-H100S night vision camera offers Full HD image quality, even in very low light conditions.
The DWX series of digital microphones will offer 24 channels of wireless UHF microphone technology, with superb sound quality and easy setup, ideal for live production. Eight Sony AN-01 UHF antennas will be used, along with the RMU-01 remote control units, to cover the 10,000 m2 of surface and achieve interference-free transmission for the program.
