Hispasat extends the deadline for submitting works for its 25th anniversary award

Faced with the demand of some companies and research groups, Hispasat has decided to accept works submitted until February 28, 2015.

Hispasat, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator, has decided to extend until February 28 the deadline for receiving works for the Award for the Best Innovation Project in the field of communications satellites, which it announced last June to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

This decision responds to requests received from different companies and research groups to extend the deadline for submitting work. So that disadvantageous situations do not occur, Hispasat will invite all those who have already submitted their work as of the date of this modification of the bases, which has been ratified before a notary, to make all the changes or improvements they deem appropriate, thus also benefiting from the extension of the deadline of this call.

The award is open to all those works, coming from both the academic field and industry, that present a solid innovation project for telecommunications satellites that represents an applicable and useful improvement in any field related to satellite communications: payload, flight system or ground segment. The winning work will be awarded 12,000 euros and the finalist will receive 5,000 euros. Both will also receive an accreditation diploma.
