NAMM 2015

Sennheiser y Apogee Electronics have announced a strategic partnership at NAMM Show 2015, in Anaheim (California).

Apogee's Betty Bennett and Sennheiser's Peter Claussen have jointly announced their companies' cooperation. According to Peter Claussen, Chief Operating Officer of Sennheiser, "Apogee and Sennheiser complement each other perfectly. We both work in the demanding premium sector, serving professional and semi-professional audio customers around the world. Our product portfolios complement each other perfectly, and I look forward to collaborating with a company that has truly pushed the boundaries of digital audio."

For her part, Betty Bennett, co-founder and CEO of Apogee, admitted that "this is an exciting collaboration for us. Sennheiser is a highly respected brand with an incredible product portfolio and extensive global reach. We both have a great reputation for providing high-quality products to the professional and prosumer markets and our core competencies are very complementary. This collaboration will result in innovative, high-quality products that will truly inspire our customers."

Apogee initially made a name for itself with special anti-aliasing filters that solved many of the major problems associated with digital audio. Later, Apogee's comprehensive conversion systems pushed the development of digital audio quality and established Apogee as a standard bearer of innovation within the field of professional digital audio. Today, Apogee converters and audio interfaces are considered benchmarks in the audio industry. Products such as Symphony I/O, Big Ben, Ensemble and Duet have all established themselves as a benchmark in digital audio recording hardware. Now, with its latest JAM and MiC products, designed especially for Apple iPad, iPhone and GarageBand software, Apogee continues to be at the forefront of recording technology.

As for Sennheiser, it should be noted that this business group based in Wedemark (Germany) was founded in 1945 and has become a leading manufacturer of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems. Sales in 2013 amounted to 590.4 million euros. Sennheiser employs more than 2,500 employees worldwide and operates factories in Germany, Ireland and the USA. The company has a global network of subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Germany, Denmark (Nordic countries), Russia, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and the USA. It also has business partners in other countries.
