Imagine Communications and Hewlett Packard Enterprise sign strategic alliance

This alliance will foster the overall transformation of video production, playout and IP distribution, cloud and virtualization operations.

Two giants of the industry, Imagine Communications y Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have entered into a strategic alliance aimed at facilitating communications service providers (CSPs) and other broadcasting and media companies to implement video production, playout and distribution facilities with great flexibility, performance and reliability.

The agreement will allow HPE to distribute Imagine's entire product portfolio to virtually everyone while Imagine benefits from HPE's leading software, hardware and other services solutions.

The new alliance creates a strategic partnership focused on the modernization of broadcast, distribution and new media facilities that is unprecedented in this industry in the scale, scope, technological innovation and sophistication of integration and support services.

Imagine and HP assure that this alliance will promote the general transformation of video production, playout and IP distribution, cloud and virtualization operations. Drastic changes in video consumption habits that require a transition of operations to more flexible, versatile and agile production and distribution environments have been decisive for this agreement.

The strategic partnership also aims to include the CloudXtream range of solutions, comprised of cloud-based technologies that enable service providers to introduce new, highly personalized services that redefine the video consumption experience. CloudXtream, together with HPE's compute and storage resources, will be able to help service providers generate new revenue, expand their reach to new consumers and devices, generating significant operational savings while improving and optimizing storage.

A major advantage of this collaboration is that it will provide media companies with a single source for all hardware, software, services and support needs.
