Vera Pinto Pereira, new director of Fox International Channels (FIC) in Spain and Portugal
For a year he had been Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Southern Europe and Africa at Fox International Channels.
Fox International Channels (FIC) has appointed Vera Pinto Pereira as the new general director for Spain and Portugal. The announcement comes a year after Vera Pinto Pereira joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Southern Europe and Africa in January 2014.

Theiler has highlighted that "Vera joined FIC with extensive and relevant experience in pay television and since that moment she has not only demonstrated her ability to lead the different business units but also to build solid relationships with our associates, both operators and advertisers. Her promotion as general director for Spain and Portugal recognizes her applied vision, her persistent leadership and her tireless dedication to the teams that make the distribution of the best content from the Fox and National Geographic Channels possible every day. Pioneer in pay television in Portugal, her “This new position will allow him a more central and active role in shaping the future of our brands in the Iberian Peninsula.”
Prior to FIC, Vera Pinto Pereira launched and led Meo, Portugal Telecom's pay TV platform. Previously, she was Director of Television Services at ZON Optimus (Antigua TVCabo) and founded Innovagency, a Portuguese consulting firm focused on strategic and technological innovation. Vera Pinto Pereira also worked as an associate at Mercer Management Consulting on several projects for different industrial organizations, both Portuguese and international.
Vera Pinto Pereira has an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in Economic Sciences from the Nova University of Lisbon (Portugal).
