The Ur242 audio interface completes the Steinberg UR series

The latest incorporation to the URSB URD interface series has DSP -based effects, Class Compliant support, supreme audio and manufacturing quality, and Cubase AI software.

Steinberg He has announced the imminent exit to the 4 × 2 UR242 audio interface market. Thanks to its audio quality at 192 KHz/24, DSP Capacity, Class Compliant Support for iPad and MIDI input/output in combination with the quality of study quality and the prior acclaimed D-Pre-prepre class A, the UR242 occupies a unique position in its price category.

The UR242 comes with two combo connectors that each with previous sophisticated micro D-pre-sophisticated with Phantom +48V, peak LEDs, gain controls and PAD buttons dedicated for signal attenuation. The additional capacity of high impedance offered by entry 1 was designed for instrument signals. Among the internal characteristics are the DSP effects for a latency-free monitoring using the Reverb Rev-X, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and the Guitar Amp Classics in Cubase or any other DAW software. This is possible thanks to the DSPMIXFX application included, available for PC, Mac OSX and iPad. The Loopback function offers users a simple mode to broadcast live performances through the Internet mixing the input signals with the Playback signal from the DAW.

Available as a free download for all customers of the UR242, Cubase AI offers a wide set of tools to record, mix and edit audio. The UR242 is compatible with the entire important recording software, it offers compatibility with the iPad thanks to the Class Compliant mode and includes controllers for Windows and OS X Systems. The BASIC FX Suite, also available for users of the UR242, consists of the following effects and VST tools for the sound processing: the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip, the Reverb Reverb Rev-X and Guitar Amp Classics guitar amplis simulations developed by Yamaha.
