Ross Streamline

Ross Video has presented at NAB 2015 version 2.0 of Streamline Asset for news production that simplifies work and allows you to do more with less.

Includes new workflows designed to improve asset management, reporting, ingest, and search capabilities. Version 2.0 adds proxy video support and thumbnail generation, a MOS workflow with placeholder support, and an HTML5-based plugin for browsing assets directly from the newsroom.

Shawn Snider, director of product marketing for EZPrompt, highlighted that "when we launched Streamline at IBC 2014, we wanted a product that could interact exceptionally with the XPression graphics system and we achieved that. Streamline's search, report, ingest and graphics management has been very well received. Now, version 2.0 goes a step further with the addition of robust capabilities, designed specifically to extend Streamline to new production possibilities."

Streamline increases teams' speed and efficiency by providing reporters and filmmakers with direct access to search and navigation resources, and can easily link them to the piece with a simple drag-and-drop interface.

The Ros Video proposal provides new management capabilities for graphics, videos and other assets with the possibility of dynamically moving those resources from the database to video servers, mixers or other devices. Once production is complete, any unneeded expired resources are automatically cleaned up.
