Ateme's Titan File has allowed the Paris City Council to improve the online distribution of news, events and images promoting its rich cultural and monumental heritage.

Paris City Hall has deployed Titan File transcoding software from Atem to improve the online distribution of news, events and images promoting the rich Parisian heritage to the more than 2.7 million monthly unique viewers who follow its web. This solution allows OPEX reduction by delivering high quality video at minimum bit rate.

Titan File is a multi-codec video transcoding software for mezzanine, VOD, post-production, playout and archive applications. It is easy to install, configure and integrate into any existing workflow, including integration of conditional access, digital rights management, ad insertion and watermarking. It also offers 24/7 automation capabilities, operating on-premise or in the cloud.

Marc Ouzounian, head of audiovisual services at Paris City Hall, admits that "we needed a solution that would allow us to distribute high quality 4K HD video from famous Paris landmarks such as Place Concorde, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and many others, while ensuring low CDN and storage costs, with HEVC support, guaranteeing future-proof OPEX. Titan meets our objectives and improves our video experience with resolution support 4K.”

For his part, Emmanuel Boureau, vice president of sales at Ateme, stressed that this project “will give a great boost to Titan for use by business entities seeking to replace open source products to improve video quality, streamline operation and reduce operating expenses with low bitrates and reduced storage.”
