Telecinco bids farewell to the most followed MotoGP World Championship in history with a share of 30.4%
The Valencia GP has become the most watched race of all time, reaching a 53.5% share and close to 6 million viewers.
Lorenzo's victory and the achievement of the world title by the Mallorcan driver has given Telecinco the best historical result in a race in this competition, reaching a share of 56.7% and 7,079,000 viewers in the golden minute (2:46 p.m.).
Cheste's event has thus surpassed the records set by what until now were the most viewed races in history: the 500 cc race. 1999 in Rio de Janeiro (5,145,000 viewers and 40%), offered by TVE 1, and the 2013 Valencia GP (4,978,000 and 43.8%), broadcast on Telecinco.
The live race of the premier category of the Valencia GP became the most watched broadcast of the day, absolutely leading its slot with more than 5.2 million viewers and 47.5 points ahead of Antena 3 (6.0% and 662,000).
With the result of the Valencia GP, the premier category has ended this season with the best figure in its history with 30.4% and 3,073,000 spectators on average, increasing the figure compared to 2014 (28.4% and 2,758,000).
Lorenzo's victory in the World Cup gave Telecinco its best after-dinner result (28.3%) since June 16, 2010, when Telecinco broadcast the World Cup match in South Africa (Spain-Switzerland), and the absolute leadership of the day with 16.8%, 3.7 points above Antena 3.
The races of the Moto2 and Moto3 categories of the Valencia GP also led their respective bands, reaching 28.2%
(1.780.000) y 24,2% (1.295.000), respectivamente, creciendo ambas en target comercial (31,9% y 30,4%, respectivamente).
