The Osmo+ camera has a total zoom of 7x, with a 3.5x optical zoom and a 2x lossless digital zoom.

DJI Osmo+

DJI is now launching a new version of its Osmo stabilized portable camera. The new Osmo+ stands out from its predecessor for incorporating a camera with integrated zoom.

Paul Pan, senior product manager, highlights that this solution “opens up a world of new possibilities for creators already excited by the Osmo's ability to create sharp, sharp and detailed images in a portable format. From action selfies to detailed panoramas to moving timelapses, the zoom capabilities of the Osmo+ once again expand the capabilities of portable photography and the limits of the imagination.”

The Osmo+ camera has a 7x full zoom, with a 3.5x optical zoom and a 2x lossless digital zoom (only available when recording at 1080p), offering a focal length range of 22mm to 77mm without sacrificing HD quality. It is similar, but not interchangeable, to the new Zenmuse Z3 zoom camera recently released for the Inspire 1 drone system.

Principal functions

Among the main functions, the possibility of recording a moving timelapse stands out. The user simply marks where he wants to start and end the camera movement to create moving timelapses.

The Osmo+ builds on the advanced stabilization technology introduced with the Osmo to keep the camera level no matter how much the user moves.

Its powerful camera records crisp video in 4K at 30fps and in 1080p at 100fps to create slow motion videos, with enhanced sound taken through the included FlexiMic or take 12 megapixel photos in Adobe DNG RAW for greater editing freedom.

The Osmo+ is compatible with the DJI Go app.
