IBC 2016 brings together more than 56,100 visitors, 1.8% more than in its previous edition

La gran cita europea del sector bate también récord de área de exposición con 52.166 m², lo que supone un incremento de más de 1.000 m² con respecto a 2015.

Aunque tradicionalmente la organización de IBC reservaba el último día de la gran cita europea del sector para dar a conocer cifras de participación, en esta ocasión ha querido adelantar su tradicional rueda de prensa a este sábado.

El balance de esta edición es muy positivo ya que el número de profesionales que están participando alcanza ya los 56.104, un 1,8% más que el año anterior.

The exhibition area record has also been broken with 52,166 m², with an increase of more than 1,000 m2 compared to 2015. In total, 1,818 exhibitors are exhibiting these days at the RAI Center in the Dutch capital. Of them, 249 companies have attended IBC for the first time.

Given the demand for space for one of the main annual fairs hosted by the RAI, the Amsterdam fair institution is considering building new pavilions starting in 2019, thus eliminating the need to go to ephemeral spaces as is the case now.

In addition, for that year the construction of a large hotel is planned in the vicinity that will have 650 rooms and more than 700m² for holding events.

The IBC organization has highlighted the quality of the sessions organized, highlighting the conferences by professionals such as Dominique Delport, CEO of Havas Group, Manuel Cubero, CEO of KDG-Vodafone or Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP. They have also highlighted the success of zones such as the IBC IP Interoperability, Technology in Action Theater and Future Zone.

IBC already has dates reserved for 2017. It will be from September 14 to 19, opening the exhibition area from the 15th to the 19th.
