The TV Academy awards the Iris Critics Awards to channel #0

La institución pone en valor el modelo alternativo de televisión, su apuesta por la producción propia como cadena de pago y por seguir el ejemplo arriesgado e innovador en los contenidos de Elena Sánchez.

The jury of the first Iris Critics' Award has chosen, after an intense debate at the headquarters of the Television Academy, to award the award to #0, among other reasons, for its alternative television model, its commitment to its own production as a pay channel and for following the risky and innovative example in Elena Sánchez's content.

The jury for this award was made up of Rosario G. Gómez (El País), Eduardo Fernández (El Mundo), Juan Ramírez (Servimedia), Héctor Alabadí (FórmulaTV), Borja Terán (La Información), Juanma Fernández (Bluper), Susana Alosete (Chicadelatele.com), Adriano Moreno (Cadena Ser), Rosa Belmonte (ABC), Francisco Gallardo (Grupo Joly), Manuel de Luna and Antonio Sempere.

Regulation Reform

The Board of Directors of the Academy has fulfilled its electoral commitment to reform the regulations of the Iris Awards, almost two decades after its birth. Starting with the next edition, the television seasons from September 1 to August 31 will be considered, instead of calendar years as until now.

Along with the categories that the Academics vote before a notary, the Iris Critics Award has been established, awarded by a large committee of television critics and commentators, and the Iris Jury Awards made up of renowned television professionals who will award these awards among the different professions and areas of television.

La ceremonia de entrega de los Premios se celebrará antes de que finalice el año en una fecha aún por concretar. Ese día conoceremos a los ganadores en las categorías que eligen los académicos ante Notario. Además, la periodista Paloma Gómez Borrero recogerá el Premio Toda una Vida a su trayectoria profesional.
