The CAC opens its call for grants for research projects

This initiative seeks to promote the carrying out of original research work in relation to new forms of consumption, accessibility or management of the radio spectrum.

The Consell de l’Audiovisual de Catalunya (CAC) has opened the eleventh call for aid for communication research projects. This initiative seeks to promote the carrying out of original research work in audiovisual matters, carried out from areas such as communication, law, economics, political science or sociology.

The total amount planned for this call is 20,000 euros (5,000 euros per project).

The projects will focus on topics such as mechanisms for the protection of minors in non-linear media; the regulation and analysis of audiovisual content on the Internet; the situation and prospects of the audiovisual production industry in Catalonia; video consumption on social networks; the implementation of media accessibility mechanisms for groups with sensory disabilities; radio spectrum policies: regulation proposals and usage trends for DTT and mobile communications; new forms of advertising on television and digital media; the status and professional perspectives of scriptwriting and creation in the audiovisual industry and the study of musical production in the Catalan language.

The CAC will especially value those projects that, once presented, provide conclusions and results that have practical applicability in the industry sector and the Catalan audiovisual system.
