Aspera launches a transfer service on Amazon Web Service

Users will be able to transfer data to S3 in single sessions at 3 Gigabits per second from any distance, and in multi-session transfers at over 20 Gbps.

rough has launched a new transfer service for AWS (Amazon Web Service), a high-speed, multi-service SaaS platform for moving large files and data sets in, out of, and between AWS storage regions.

Using the Aspera FASP high-speed transfer protocol, users will be able to move data of any size over any distance, at line speed to and from Amazon S3 storage.

Exclusive Direct-to-Cloud capability integrates with S3 to enable the fastest file uploads and downloads with predictable transfer times, while adding robust security and comprehensive transfer management features such as wired and at-rest encryption, dynamic bandwidth control, and real-time and historical reporting.

Users can transfer data to S3 in single sessions at 3 Gigabits per second from any distance, and in multi-session transfers at over 20 Gbps. Built on Aspera's auto-scaling technology, the platform offers extreme scale, high availability and load balancing.
