The Toronto International Film Festival will host the world premiere of 'The Secret of Marrowbone'

La película producida por Telecinco Cinema, Marrowbone y Ruidos en el Ático supone el debut como director de largometrajes de Sergio G. Sánchez, guionista de ‘El Orfanato’, ‘Lo Imposible’ o ‘Palmeras en la nieve’.

The Secret of Marrowbone, by Sergio G. Sánchez, will be presented at the Toronto International Film Festival that will take place from September 7 to 17. The feature film directorial debut of Sergio G. Sánchez, screenwriter of “El Orfanato”, “Lo Imposible” and “Palmeras en la Nieve”, among other titles, will be presented at the Toronto Film Festival in the Special Presentations section.

The film, which will be released on Spanish screens on October 27 distributed by Universal Pictures International Spain, stars Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Morgan, Multiple) who is currently filming the new installment of X Men: The New Mutants, George Mackay (Captain Fantastik, For Those in Peril), Mia Goth (La cura siniestra, Nymphomaniac. Volumen 2), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things, Presencia siniestra) quien también participa en X Men: The New Mutants y está a punto de estrenar la segunda temporada de Stranger Things, Matthew Stagg (Macbeth) y Kyle Soller (The Keeping Room, Anna Karenina).

Producida por Belén Atienza, Álvaro Augustin y Ghislain Barrois, y con J.A. Bayona como productor ejecutivo, The Secret of Marrowbone es un thriller psicológico que narra la historia de cuatro hermanos que, temiendo que les separen tras la muerte de su madre, se esconden del mundo en su abandonada granja… una granja cuyas viejas paredes esconden un terrible secreto.
