Chilean channel 13 externalizes with Secuoya all productive areas as well as the management of their studies and technical means
Grupo Secuoya signs with Channel 13 of Chile one of the greatest contracts in its history. The 5+5 years agreement entails the outsourcing of all productive areas as well as the management of all studies and technical means, which have become owned by Secuoya and for what more than 10 million euros have been invested.
Grupo Secuoya consolidates its positioning in Latin America with the signing of a service outsourcing contract for Channel 13, one of the main television networks in Chile. The contract places the group as a key actor in changing the audiovisual business model in the region.
The new habits of content consumption, the technological revolution itself and the fragmentation that has caused a paradigmatic change have forced a new productive model, which Chile's audiovisual industry now faces with the Secuoya group as the main partner.
Under this new challenge faced by Secuoya, a great team of group in Spain, with extensive experience in similar processes, belonging to the areas of services and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), has moved to Chile to analyze the processes of optimization of technical and human resources. The fruit has been the configuration of a structure parallel to that created in Spain trained to offer the same level of services that have made Secuoya a leader in our country, now in Latin America. The pillars of this structure are human capital, infrastructure and production model.
Human capital
The contract signed with Channel 13 contemplates the outsourcing of all its production areas, which entails hiring at least 350 professionals who will cover positions such as technicians, cameras, assistants, producers, postproduction, graphists, broadcast operators, broadcast, hairdressers/makeup artists, among others. At the same time, this Strategic Operation of Secuoya also contemplates the hiring of structure personnel that will support this and other clients, so it is estimated that after the end of the Secuoya year it will have about 500 professionals in its structure in Chile.
To fulfill both the contract signed with Channel 13 and also to establish itself as the main services and BPO company of the territory, Secuoya will invest more than 10 million euros in infrastructure. With this, the group will have more than 15 television studies in Chile, completely equipped with technical infrastructure, lighting grills and conditioned for news productions, entertainment and fiction; several HD realization controls; 2 mobile HD production units; 6 dsngs; More than 100 ENG teams and more than 100 editing positions.
A new production model
For Channel 13 as well as for the rest of the territory chains, the presence of Secuoya is a guarantee when undertaking the restructuring of its business model, given the experience of the Spanish group in the transformation of the open television model in Spain.
One of the main steps is the detection of the subactivity of resources to try to channel and focus them to the new actors that may arise. As happened in Spain, when the sector assumed the idle capacity of televisions, strengthening the audiovisual industry.
In Spain, ten years ago, the outsourcing of audiovisual services arose, as stressed from Secuoya, “in response to the crisis in the sector and the need to give sustainability to the open television industry. The implementation of a new model, strongly concentrated on the development of content and a new process and management approach, allowed the chains to focus on its Core Business: programming and distribution of content, lowering its cost Financial results without losing identity, control or editorial line.
Channel 13 is the second major international contract signed by Secuoya this year. At the end of January, he signed with Claro TV, in Colombia, a strategic contract for the provision of technical production, journalistic and talent services for their own television channels, Claro Sports and Musical Canals. The three -year duration contract, pursues the empowerment and improvement of all the platform production channels. Specifically, all postproduction, graphics, intake, file, documentation, issuance, continuity, central control, writing, etc. depends on the service provided by Grupo Secuoya Colombia for Claro TV and which is made up of 200 professionals.
With more than 1,600 professionals of journalism, marketing, management, production, audiovisual creation and technical personnel (cameramen, illuminators, etc. ...) worldwide, Secuoya currently has a true network of content producers and services for the audiovisual industry, which allow you to reproduce your international business model. With open operations in Russia, North Africa and the Middle East and with presence in Chile, Peru and Colombia
In Chile, Secuoya has been present since 2016 as one of the main independent entertainment producers for the main national chains: TVN, Chilevisión and Channel 13 with different titles for open TV channels, such as Viral (TVN), The boss in your shoes (CHV), La Vega (TVN), It is sought (Chv) y pArk royecto (Canal 13).
