Finnish television TV7 adopts AoIP interconnection with Kroma by AEQ intercom system
Kroma by AEQ's CrossNET intercom matrix with 72 ports and AoIP Dante connectivity allows TV7 to connect all its production studios.
TV7, a television that has been broadcasting since 2003 in Finland, Estonia and Sweden with Christian programming, has renewed its interconnection system over AoIP. Financed by contributions from its viewers, TV7 also has daily productions in Israel, its news programs being some of the most watched programs in English in the country.
Following television's desire to optimize operations and take advantage of technical and human resources, Otsi Salminen, television sound engineer, and Juhani Ojares, technical director, constantly fought with their intercom and IFB system until they found the solution. CrossNET intercom matrix of Chrome by AEQ with AoIP Dante connectivity. They immediately saw its potential and decided to purchase a 72-port array connected to several user panels and wireless beltpacks from the same brand.
The possibility of interconnecting the new user panels with the rest of the technical audio equipment already existing on television, unlimitedly improves flexibility in terms of monitoring IFB sources and communications, allowing production to be carried out in a truly flexible and dynamic way. The system has been deployed throughout all of the network's television studios, including three recording sets and a chroma-key.
