Faro equips its new HD mobile unit with the latest AEQ-Kroma technology
The Galician production company Faro now has an HD mobile unit with seven cameras in which broadcast monitoring, hybrid intercom and AEQ-Kroma audiocodecs have been integrated.
Faro, an audiovisual production company based in Vigo and more than three decades in the market, has just released a mobile unit in high definition.
Equipped with seven chambers This unit will be dedicated to the production of programs, outsourcing services and production of all types of events.
To equip this new HD mobile production unit, the company's technical management has placed its trust in the Spanish manufacturer AEQ, betting on the most cutting-edge technology in broadcast video monitoring and systems hybrid intercom, TH5048, from the brand Chrome by AEQ. It also integrates communications with audiocodecs Phoenix Stratos IP-RDSI e telephone hybrids, TH03 2 lines, AEQ.
The impressive monitoring bridge is equipped with 15 24” Full HD Quadsplit broadcast monitors and a 46” Full HD large format broadcast monitor integrated with the KVIEW8 multi-screen system.

The advantage of the Quadsplit series is that it offers a great possibility to monitor many video and audio sources. It has 2 DVI-I inputs (YPbPr, VGA and DVI video mode) and 8 multi-format video inputs (composite and SD-SDI). These 8 inputs can be transformed by menu into 4 multi-standard inputs and 4 digital outputs. It also has advanced tools such as waveform and vectorscope, IMD, VU meters with 1dB precision, up to 16 channels (4 groups) for SDI and 2 channels for analog audio, different presentation layouts, analog clock on the screen, speaker and headphone outputs...
Intercom
On the other hand, for its intercom system, the production company has opted for the complete intercom model TH5048 with 9 panels TP4016, along with external interfaces for remote communications via standard telephone line and GSM.
The installed matrix, it has 28 IP ports, 16 digital ports and 4 analog ports, enabled with 48 ports that natively integrates audio sources of different nature (analog, digital and Voice over IP), offering great flexibility in the management of different signals, such as audio from CCU's, a wide variety of user panels, wireless-wired IP packs, all integrated in only 1UR.
The transmission of an audio signal over IP and the ability to communicate different locations and centers over IP that this intercom system allows has been an added value for the production company.
The TP4016 user panels of only 1UR, have 16 cross-point keys configurable by software and four paging levels, being able to obtain up to 64 configurable keys.
