Toboggan integrates the Kroma by AEQ intercom and monitoring system in the new Non Stop master control
AEQ has supplied a total of 14 8000 Series broadcast monitors, three Trueblack monitors and an intercom system consisting of a Crossnet 72 matrix.
Toboggan Services has opted for the high broadcast quality of the Spanish manufacturer's equipment AEQ to equip the new master control room in the production company's studios Non Stop located in Fuente el Saz (Madrid).
AEQ has supplied a total of 14 8000 Series broadcast monitors in size of 18.5" Full HD model LM8018 with 10-bit video processing throughout the signal processing. This new series of monitors from the brand Chrome by AEQ It allows an improvement in the image scale, interlacing, color depth and linearity of the monitor, with possible inputs for the SFP modules enabling the input of SMPTE2022 standard signals for IP video and other possible inputs that incorporate this type of modules. Its use is ideal for checking and measuring signals in this production center.
They have also been supplied three 17” monitors from the Trueblack series, with LCD screen and IPS-Pro technology offering an improved black level, greater color uniformity and better performance at extreme viewing angles. Ideal as a reference monitor that allows you to use a high-performance screen, ideal for controlling cameras.
All installed monitors support different video signals, composite, HD/3G-SDI for better signal management, along with functions for signal identification and calibration, such as precision VU meters and headphone output, In-Monitor display (IMD), on-screen tally, waveform, vectorscope, DUALSPLIT with luminance waveform, correlation meter, phase indicator and other added functionalities.
These broadcast monitors offer very high image quality, contrast, color reproduction and an unbeatable viewing angle, facilitating the correct motorization of the different video signals. It should also be noted that its useful life is over 50,000 hours.
For its part, the new master control room has been equipped with the intercom system of the same brand, supplied as a complete solution for current operation and offering future expansions. This system is made up of a Crossnet matrix 72 of only 1UR that has 32 Dante ports, 8 digital ports, 12 analog 4-wire broadcast-quality balanced audio ports and 20 IP ports with compressed audio. It offers great work flexibility and exceptional operability in the different handling of audio signals.
The current configuration of the Crossnet 72 matrix has been integrated with 13 TP8116 rack panels and one of dessert TP8416. In addition, 3 c units have also been installed.oncentrador CE6000 for the operation of the different 4-wire signals coming from the CCU's, offering an audio summation. 4 IP BP3004 wired belt packs have been added to the system.
The system is scalable to 168 ports offering the integration of complete solutions, such as: the AEQ Olympia 3 Commentary Unit, Phoenix Venus3 Dante audiocodecs, AEQ Netbox 8 and 32 Analog/Digital Interfaces, as well as any equipment from different manufacturers with Dante VoIP connectivity. An unbeatable solution to consider for this intercom system.
