FlixOlé, the largest online platform for Spanish cinema content in HD and 4K, is born

Offers a catalog with nearly 3,000 Spanish films, although there is also a place for series and a very careful collection of European and American cinema that can now be seen with great image and sound quality, thanks to the restoration process that has allowed the films to be recovered in both HD and 4K. FlixOlé has a Swedish technology partner Imagine Pro specialized in offering solutions for this type of platforms.

With the launch of FlixOlé, the aim is to make Spanish audiovisual cultural heritage available to the national and international public. It is a tool that allows its users to learn about Spanish culture through its cinema, discover the history of Spain with its most emblematic films or improve their learning of Spanish and, precisely for this reason, the Royal Spanish Academy is the perfect setting for the presentation of this project.

One of the objectives of FlixOlé is to promote curiosity and knowledge for new generations about the national cultural heritage and give the youngest access to the best films that Spanish cinema has produced in its entire history.

Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Concha Velasco, Pepe Sacristán, Santiago Segura, Miguel Angel Muñoz and Natalia de Molina participated in the presentation, highlighting the importance of this important heritage having been recovered for posterity and Enrique Cerezo (FlixOlé) and Ibán García del Blanco (president of ACE, Acción Cultural Española) highlighting the essential work of restoring the negatives and digitizing our filmography.
