Atresmedia Cine completes filming of 'The Legacy in the Bones' and 'Offering to the Storm'
Fernando González Molina directs the ambitious adaptation of the two new installments of the 'Baztán Trilogy'.
After eighteen weeks of filming, last weekend the filming of the new installments of the film ended in Barcelona. Baztan Trilogy, Legacy in the bones y Offering to the storm, which started on August 27 in Barcelona and continued in the Baztán Valley, where the novels on which they are based take place.
Fernando González Molina (Palm Trees in the Snow) directs the two adaptations that complete the Baztan Trilogy and that are starring Marta Etura (Cell 211, The Man of a Thousand Faces), Elvira Mínguez (The stranger, Truman), Carlos Librado “Nene” (Giants), Francesc Orella (Merlí, Lasa and Zabala), Itziar Aizpuru (The flowers), Northover Band (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Patricia López (The plague, The other look), Miquel Fernández (One hundred years of forgiveness, Vulcania), Pedro Casablanc (B, Truman), Paco Tous (La casa de papel, Lord, give me patience), Manolo Solo (Late for anger, The minimal island), Colin McFarlane (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) and Susi Sánchez (Sunday's illness, Juliet) who take up their characters.
If you go to the original Leonardo Sbaraglia department (Wild Tales, Pain and Glory) playing Judge Markina, one of the characters most anticipated by fans of the novels, Imanol Arias (Tell me how it happened, Anacleto: Secret Agent), who will step into the shoes of Father Sarasola, Ana Wagener (Setback, The Kingdom) as Fina Hidalgo, Eduardo Rosa (Presumed Guilty) like sub-inspector Goñi and Marta Larralde (Fariña, Gran Hotel) in the role of Yolanda Berrueta.
After the success of The invisible guardian, the first part of the Baztán Trilogy, which was seen in Spanish cinemas by 600,000 spectators, the film adaptation of the rest of the trilogy has been carried out under a production model similar to that of current major international productions and unpublished in Spain. The two films have been filmed in a single shoot.
The Baztán Trilogy is the film adaptation of the literary phenomenon of the same name by Planeta Award-winning author Dolores Redondo, whose work has captivated more than 2,000,000 readers.
Legacy in the bones, the second installment of the trilogy, will hit theaters on December 5, 2019 and Offering to the Storm, the third part and final point of Amaia Salazar's story, will premiere on April 3, 2020.
